Life Gets in the Way – A Day in the Life of an Inbound Marketer

How do you use Google Analytics?Life gets in the way of everyone, and for an inbound marketer it is no different. Life has gotten in my way recently, not in a bad way, actually it has been a great way. Easter and a Spring Break trip to the beach have kind of got in the way of our series of A Day in the Life posts. One of the great things about inbound marketing is that you can really do a lot of it from wherever you happen to be. I can use Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn from my phone; I can even write blog posts from my phone or iPad. However, they don’t write themselves.

So I am back at it, and here we go again. On the agenda today is to learn a bit more about Google Analytics and to install the code into the Stay Motivated Blog and the GTD for ADD website. I am not real experienced with Google Analytics, however I hear that it is not hard to install or use. I am excited about the kinds of information that are supposedly available through this. It should go a long way in helping us determine what our next actions might be for each site. So I am excited to dive in.

If you have experience with Google Analytics, I would love to hear what you things you have found to be the most helpful and why. How do you use this information? What are your favorite reports? What types of information do you look for? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, we will share more about our experiences with Google Analytics as time goes on. In the meantime, keep blogging away.
